Questions
How do SMS notifications work?
SMS is included on Standard & Pro plans: a day-before reminder with each player's tee time, a confirm-by nudge for the undecided, invites, and urgent updates. Each plan has a monthly SMS allowance — Standard fits typical leagues; Pro includes a higher cap for tournament-heavy clubs.
Is this a USGA-sanctioned handicap?
No. ScoringHQ tracks internal league handicaps based on your scoring rules so play stays fair across your events. It is not a sanctioned handicap system and does not replace USGA/GHIN.
Do players need to install an app?
No app required. Players open a link on any device — phone, tablet, or desktop — to sign up, check in, and enter scores. Built for the real world: no installs, no app store reviews.
Does ScoringHQ handle payments?
No. The app calculates payouts, side games, and pooled pots automatically, but players settle payments outside the app (Venmo, cash, club tab, etc.). You stay out of the money handling business.
Can I export my data?
Yes — organizers can export standings, scores, member lists, and season history as CSV at any time, on every plan. Your data is never locked in.
What about private leagues and member privacy?
Members only see the leagues and events they belong to. Each event's visibility is admin-controlled — all club members, or participants only. Club discoverability (public, unlisted, private) is set in club settings.
